Dharma In Action

Dharma in Action together with a group of independent youth leaders gathered from various local Buddhist organizations with a common goal to train more youth leaders in our Buddhist community, will be organizing a national Buddhist youth leadership camp which is the first of its kind in Singapore.

The details of the camp are as follow:

Date:               6th to 9th June 2009

Venue:            Camp Christine

Age Group:     16 to 25

Participants:    Youth group committee members or potential leaders

Objectives of the Camp:

i.     Providing a motivational platform for leaders to interact and share with other Buddhist youth leaders in the community.

ii.    Acquire skill-sets needed for leading youth groups

       1.  Managing group dynamics

       2.  Marketing techniques

       3.  Presentation Skills

iii. Forge strong bonds between Buddhist youth leaders

During the camp, we will be inviting professional trainers and Sangha members to host the sessions. Sessions would include forum-based interactions and problem-based learning environment catered towards critical thinking and analysis.
